I have always loved taking care of animals. And I was fortunate to be with a loving partner who helped me turn my passion into a career. We worked together, alongside a very creative contractor to create a custom one-of-a-kind home in Issaquah, Washington, for dogs to stay and play while their owners were out of town or at work.
My home was turned into a safe and fun place for dogs. Everything was custom built was with the idea of having your dog feel safe, comfortable, loved, and at home. From composite decking that prevented splintering of pup paws to filtered drinking water and organic treats.
Your dog only gets the “best” at Horton’s House.
In 2017, I purchased a fabulous piece of property in Ravensdale, Washington, which is both large and beautiful. The property provided more possibilities for my business than I had imagined and we added custom construction to create additional areas for your pet’s safety, comfort and enjoyment.
So, who is Horton anyway? Horton is my beloved Golden Retriever. Together with our Chihuahua, Latte, we invite you and your pet to our home. As we say, “In our house and on our couch, your dog becomes one of the family while staying with us.”
My experience as a former veterinary assistant and training to be Pet CPR and First Aid certified has provided me with the skills necessary to keep your pet safe during its stay. I also have years of dog training experience, so if you would like your dog to remember some commands during their stay, we can work on that too!
As an artist, I work from my home studio so the dogs are always attended to and with me. Horton and I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged friend!
